FAYETTEVILLE — The Harrison Goblins used all the energy that they had on Thursday night in the opening round of the Fayetteville Tournament.

Lining up opposite Jacksonville, the Goblins successfully moved on to the second round of the tournament with a 72-64 win over the Red Devils.

Harrison played in the semifinals on Friday night against Springfield, Mo. Kickapoo.

The Goblins jumped out to an early double-digit lead and watched as the Red Devils made it a contest.

However, Tanner Curry nailed 3-of-4 free throw attempts in the closing seconds to seal the victory.

There were several bright spots in the game for the Goblins.
“I thought we rebounded well,” said Harrison coach David Stahler. “It was not our best game, but it was good enough. We did have a great effort in the game.”
