Treasure Coast can clinch second-place in District 8-8A with a win and a Vero Beach win over Fort Pierce Central. If the Titans win and Central wins, it will finish in a three-way tie for first place. The only was Centennial can qualify for the postseason is to beat Treasure Coast and have Vero Beach beat Central, creating a three-way tie for second place. Key for Centennial Get positive yardage on first down: The Eagles have struggled on offense this season and gained only 93 yards against Fort Pierce Central last week. Centennial coach Ron Parker said the team will continue to rotate quarterbacks, but whether it’s Nick Barnes, Sir’Coy Gray or Chris Smith under center, they need to make sure they’re facing 2-and-managable instead of 2nd-and-long. Win the battle up front: Its cliché and obvious, but it’s definitely true for the Titans. The offensive and defensive lines have played well for the Titans this season and will need similar performances Friday. Centennial’s linemen are big, but the Titans likely have the advantage in speed and athleticism.
