Students at Southeast High School participated in Reality U where they learned about managing their money before they live on their own.
Students were given a fictional salary and life story that included whether they were married and had children. The students visited different booths like transportation, utilities, housing, entertainment and groceries to make payments. Factors like salary and credit score were based off the student’s current grade point average (GPA), how they stated they would use credit cards and the student loans, which were based off the student’s desired job category.

The activity shows students how much money is left at the end of the month based on their choices at each booth.
Thank you to the Pando Initiative, United Way of the Plains and all the volunteers who made this activity possible!
