JOSHUA DICK WINS THIRD TITLE

Joshua Dick won his third individual championship of the season Thursday and helped Tahlequah to a fourth place finish in the team standings in the Owasso Cross Country Invitational at Mohawk Park. Dick finished with a time of 16:05 in the 5K run, 12 seconds ahead of Owasso’s Jacob Rist and 15 seconds in front of Yukon’s Elijah Ankrom. The Tigers had a score of 164 as a team. They trailed champion Owasso, Yukon and Bishop Kelley. Blaine Jones had Tahlequah’s next best time with a 17:50, which put him 26th in the individual standings. Nathaniel Floyd was 45th (18:31), Guillermo Amador was 47th (18:36), and Alex Ferman followed in 48th place with a time of 18:38. Brady Perez ended 53rd with an 18:56, and Oscar Garcia was 82nd at 20:01. Keys also competed in the invitational. Chance Singer had the Cougars top finish, placing 58th with a time of 19:05. Harley Jordan was 77th with a 19:48, Jordan Andrews ran a 20:29, Harley Ray ran a 20:53, Christopher Hamrick closed at 22:28, Justin Latty ended with a 23:06, and Jaeden Dill finished at 26:18. For the Lady Tigers, Kayleigh Spears led the way by running a 20:55 to place 12th individually. Tahlequah finished third in the team standings with a score of 135. The Lady Tigers followed champion Bishop Kelley and Owasso. Odalis Medellin was 25th for the Lady Tigers with a time of 22:02, Camille Lear was 31st at 22:20, Jennnifer Medellin was 35th with a 22:49, Neida Aguilar was 38th with a 22:57, Rachel Geasland ended 45th with a 23:11, and Lily Barnes closed with a time of 24:13. Lexi Kirk paced Keys with a time of 23:48, good for 59th in the individual standings. Savana Winkler was 78th with a 25:02, Abby Stilwell ended at 25:36, Abby Corry ran a 25:43, Kaitlyn White finished with a 26:42, Alyssa Radomski closed with a 28:53, Makaya Strutton had a time of 29:14, Haylei Taylor ended at 30:57, and Janessa Perry finished with a 34:31.
