The Pittsburg High School girls’ golf team took care of business at home on Tuesday, winning the Pittsburg Invitational in a field of seven teams with a low score of 186 strokes.

Coming in close behind was Girard in fourth with 224 and Frontenac in fifth at 227.

Hannah Holloman led the way for the Purple Dragons, placing first on the individual leaderboard with a low score of 43.

Holloman’s teammates Samantha Maceli and Jamie VanWyck took fourth and fifth respectively with a 45 and 46 on the scorecard.

Pittsburg’ Samantha Beykirch and Natalee Brake tied for 11th along with Michelle Morsette of Frontenac with scores of 52.

Girard’s Shelby Smith, Pittsburg’s Mary Thompson and Frontenac’s Brianna Green came in close behind, tying for 16th with a 54 on the scorecard.

Girard’s Marcy McDonald placed 18th with a score of 56, while her teammates Sydney Crapson and Cierra Brumback tied for 20th with a pair of 57's.

Frontenac’s Keira Threlfall tied for 22nd with a 58, while Saia Stahl of PHS placed 25th with a 60.

Coming in right behind was Mary Smith of Girard in 26th with a score of 61, while Frontenac’s Faith Hill and Autumn Bryant placed 33rd and 37th respectively with scores of 63 and 66.
