Shawnee’s 6A No. 13 Lady Wolves volleyball team was swept by 5A No. 1 Bishop McGuinness Monday night.

The Lady Wolves competed with the No. 1 Irish but service errors killed several big rallies and helped McGuinness regain control when Shawnee was trying to get over the top.

The Lady Wolves lost the first set 25-19.

Two big blocks in the second set tied the score at 24-24 before Shawnee gave up two straight points to lose the second set 26-24.

The third set was also close, but when the Irish had a chance, they put Shawnee away 25-18.

Ashley Kasterke led Shawnee with nine kills and five digs. Katelynn Wissman had five kills and two blocks for the Lady Wolves. Payton McNeil had 18 assists for SHS.
