On Thursday night, the Lady Indians played a home game against Knightstown High School.

Thursday night’s game was up and down for the Lady Indians. In the first minute of the game, Knightstown caught the Lady Indians sleeping, gaining an early 1-0 advantage. However, the Lady Indians came roaring back, lead by a goal from the Freshman Cristal Pacheco, tying the game at 1. For the rest of the first half, the Lady Indians pressed the Knightstown’s mid-field and defense but were unable to push ahead into halftime.

In the second half, two different teams appeared. Immediately out of the break, the Knightstown Panthers pressed the Lady Indians, adding a quick goal in the first 10 minutes. The Lady Indians seemed sluggish and no longer the aggressor that was witnessed in the first half. As a result, Knightstown’s constant pressure made it difficult for the Lady Indians to get into a rhythm, and eventually allowed the Panthers to add to their lead, making it 3-1.

Notable Stats:
Cristal Pacheco: 1 goal
Lexi Fairer: 15 saves

The Lady Indians play their next game at home on Saturday at 11 am against Indianapolis Arsenal Tech.
