Coach Mark Steinbach Comments:

"We played Ottumwa in the SE Polk Tournament on Saturday at SE Polk, but were forced to make lineup changes heading into Tuesday's conference match in Wapello County. Starting libero Adrien Hansen was not available and we had to go with senior Ibby Rodgers filling in at a position that is somewhat foreign to her.

The Bulldogs are a senior led team that plays with a lot of emotion and energy. Their libero (#3 - Helen Altfillisch) dug multiple attacks that allowed them to stay close in set 3. Ottumwa always has a large home crowd and is a tough place to play. I am proud of how our kids composed themselves in the 3rd set and made the plays when we needed them. It always feels good to start of 1-0 in conference play".

The Riders wll play their home opener on Thursday, Sept. 14 when they host North and Hoover at Pomerantz Gymnasium.

Schedule for the triangular:

5:30 pm - Roosevelt vs Hoover
6:45 pm - Roosevelt vs North
