The Russellville Lady Cyclones took down Clarksville 25-7, 25-4, 25-11 on Thursday.
Leading scorers for Russellville were Meg Atchison with nine kills. Hannah Jones with six kills. Abby Allen with three kills, three aces and three blocks.
Kate Lane had five aces, 10 digs and two kills. Hannah Bolek had 12 digs and an ace. Gracie Palmer had 22 assists.
RJHS beats NLR
The Russellville Lady Whirlwinds volleyball team defeated the North Little Rock Lady Charging Wildcats in three sets recently.
Russellville lost the first set 20-25 but fought back with 25-20 and 15-10 wins in the final two.
In that game, Mariah Ellis scored seven points, four aces, five blocks and two kills. Emiie Kennamore had three points an ace and two kills. Lilly Ruston had seven kills and a block. Katie Duran had two kills. Mary K. Duffield had three kilss. Ruthie Jacimore had four points and two kills. Sheridan Rogers had three points.
"We also had great back-row work from Emy Moreno, Lizzy Callaway and Maddie Wojtkowski," Lady Whirlwinds head coach Cindy Williams said.
The eighth-grade team lost 19-25, 25-12 and 10-15.
In that game, Ellie Richardson had three points. Aiyaunna Owens had one block and a kill. Kayna Palmer had six points. Leila Brock had three points. Gracie Campbell had two kills. Addie Merz had a kill.
