WASHINGTON, Ill. - You think an 0-3 record is going to take some tarnish off the Metamora-Washington rivalry game Friday night?

Think again.

"Record has nothing to do with what's going to happen this Friday night< 'said Washington coach Darrell Crouch. "Those guys are a good ball club, in a lot of ways. They throw the ball well. their QB (Tom Hall) can run around a little bit., We're going to get a physical game again this week."

Washington comes into the gamed with a 2-1 record, fresh off a big win at state ranked Canton. Metamora is off to a rare 0-3 start.

"They were tough losses but we're going to come together," said Metamora senior Justin Coker. "We'll be alright. I'm positive, the whole team is positive. I think it'll be a good rest of the season."

Kickoff Friday night at Babcook Field is 7:30.
