LITTLE ROCK — Harrison’s football team is making believers from across the state.

Tuesday afternoon in the latest Associated Press High School football poll, the Harrison Goblins find themselves in the rankings.

In Class 5A, the Goblins moved into the No. 5 spot.

Harrison replaces 5A-West member Alma, who lost last week to Springdale and fell out of the Class 5A rankings.
Pulaski Academy remained on top of Class 5A with Wynne staying in the second spot.

The Goblins’ opponent for Friday, Little Rock Christian, is No. 3. The Warriors moved into the spot after the Alma loss. LRC was No. 4 last week.

Harrison’s conference opponent Morrilton moved up one spot to No. 4.

The Top 10 poll is divided on who is the No. 1 team. Har-Ber, North Little Rock and Pulaski Academy all received No. 1 votes.

Har-Ber is the top ranked team followed by Bryant at No. 2 and North Little Rock at No. 3.

Class 6A Greenwood is fourth with Fayetteville; Pulaski Academy; Bentonville West; El Dorado; Bentonville; and Fort Smith Northside rounding out the poll.

Greenwood tops the Class 6A polls. Pea Ridge has risen to the top of the Class 4A polls as four different teams received first-place votes.

Prescott is on top of Class 3A and Mt. Ida is No. 1 in Class 2A.
