Neshaminy took the early lead against Downingtown West at home in a non-conference game Friday night but couldn't hold on down the stretch.

As a result, Neshaminy dropped its first game of the 2017 campaign 30-27.

Neshaminy quarterback Brody McAndrew completed 17 passes for 298 yards, three touchdowns and an interception.

Whippets' quarterback, Will Howard, completed 12 passes for 299 yards and two scores. Howard also ran for 57 yards and one touchdown.
