Tahlequah erased Glenpool in a 3-0 sweep Tuesday in high school volleyball action at the Tahlequah Multipurpose Activity Center.

The Class 5A, 16th-ranked Lady Tigers, which improve to 4-7 overall under head coach Don Ogden, were never threatened. They rolled to a 25-15 win in game one, and then followed with consecutive 25-16 wins in games two and three.

"I'm very pleased we went out and got a W," Ogden said. "It's such a good group of girls. They've worked really hard to do all of the off the court things, build chemistry and support each other. So far, we've played a lot of top-level teams and we've kind of made our own mistakes that has limited us. I think as we go along we will clean some things up, and tonight was a good start. There wasn't a lot of spectacular things tonight, but there was a lot of good things. We had a lot of good passes, a lot of good sets. I was pleased with our attack percentage."

Senior outside hitter Brooke Thomas finished with a team-high 11 kills, nine of those coming over the first two sets. Thomas also matched Stevie Scott for team-high honors with 17 serves made.

"Brooke had a nice night of attacking," Ogden said. "We're just trying to get Brooke to turn it loose a little bit more, but we're pleased that she had a nice feel for the game tonight. When she attacks, she's a pretty good boomer on shots."

"Stevie had a nice night of serving for us," Ogden added. "Her serves were good and she didn't miss anything. Her serves were on target and it got them out of system."

Senior middle blocker Allyson Hart and sophomore middle blocker Kloe Bowin each contributed with six kills to follow Thomas. Senior outside hitter Ivee Baker ended with four.

Hart led Tahlequah with 12 digs, and Thomas finished with seven. Baker had four digs, while Scott and Jaden Teague collected three apiece.

Senior Katie Eagle had 10 serves made, and Baker, Hart and Teague followed with nine each. Scott paced the Lady Tigers with five service aces.

Tuesday's victory comes after back-to-back setbacks to No. 10 Claremore and seventh-ranked Coweta.

Ogden's team will be on the road for matches over the next two weeks -- the Lady Tigers travel to play in the Catoosa Port City Classic on Friday and Saturday. They will then visit Skiatook (Tuesday, Sept. 12) and McAlester (Thursday, Sept. 14) before returning to the TMAC to face Catoosa on Sept. 19.
