Isabel Buchanan had a great final 300 meter kick to pass several competitors and led the Roosevelt harriers with a 7th place finish, followed closely by Sarah Schott (9th), Brennan Drake (14th) and Megan Fleming (15th). Schott set a personal best by almost 30 seconds on the crisp September morning. Other Rider varsity finishers were Solit Germano (16th), Anna Gilbreath (18th), and Clara Colvig (21st). '

Coach David Roney comments: "The girls had a great showing at the Urbandale Invitational. There are some good teams at this meet so to head out there and place second shows we can compete with a lot of teams. Sarah Schott has been working extremely hard and I'm so happy to see that breakthrough today. It's always encouraging to the coaches and team to see athletes have a breakthrough performance. We're looking forward to another trip to Marshalltown on Thursday, Sept. 7".
