RIDERS OPEN VB SEASON RATED #9 BY IGHSAU

The Roosevelt Girls Volleyball Team will open their season on Tuesday, August 22nd at the DC-G Tournament and will carry with them the #9 ranking in Class 5A in the first rankings released the IGHSAU. Roosevelt finished the 2016 campaign with a 31-20 record falling to Dowling Catholic 3-1 in a grueling Regional Semi-Final match.

Roosevelt returns a good nucleus of players led by Seniors Ibby Rodgers and Marie Goodwin and will have last year's Class 5A regular season kill leader in Grace Cumming returning as well. Also back into the mix will be Senior and Drake commit Riley Dolphin who returns from a knee injury that caused her to miss the entire 2016 season.

The Riders are scheduled to kick off the season at DC-G with pool play beginning at 4:30 at the DC-G High School vs SE Polk with the famed Rhino trophy on the line.
