DISTRICT 19-6A CROSS COUNTRY MEET

District 19-6A Cross Country Meet

The Cross Country teams concluded their season at the District 19-6A Cross Country Meet on Friday, October 16, at Bear Creek Park. The Varsity girls had a nice performance and placed 5th (162 points), ahead of Morton Ranch (166 points) and Taylor (175 points). The JV girls also competed well and placed 5th.






 The Varsity squad was led once again by Sophomore Emely Aleman, who had an outstanding performance over the 5K course.  She placed 26th and ran a personal best time of 20:26. Freshman Alessa King was the next Ram, placing 31st and running a personal record time of 20:41. Junior Lexi Torbit had a strong 32nd place finish and a season best time of 20:43. Rounding out the top five runners for the varsity team, in their final high school CC race, were Seniors Ysatis Gonzalez and Julissa Jimenez. They placed 36th and 37th, running season best times of 21:05 and 21:13, respectively. Junior Hiede Tiliakos placed 43rd and recorded a PR time of 21:24. Sophomore Paulette Low was the final Ram to cross the line. She placed 46th and also ran a personal record time of 22:04.



In the 2 mile Open Race, which included a girls and boys, Sophomore Angelina McCoy ran a time of 15:54 and placed 49th.  Freshman Glenda Torres-Greaux placed 60th, running a time of 16:36. Freshman Jordyn Peterson was next, placing 67th with a time of 17:07. Junior Nicole Booth placed 69th, running a 17:39. Senior Sofia Rodriguez came in 82nd place with a personal record time of 19:41. 



 I am very proud of all of the Mayde Creek Cross Country teams. They competed extremely hard against some awesome District competition and improved tremendously from last year. It has been a successful and exciting Cross Country season!  Thank you for your continued support
