RIDERS ADVANCE IN SUBSTATE TOURNAMENT

The Roosevelt Boys Tennis Team used a strong start and advanced in Team Substate action on Saturday, May 13th at Waveland Courts in Des Moines. The Riders advance and will play next Saturday at a site and time to be determined.

The Riders got straight set wins from James Susman, Danny Kramer, Alex, Shay and Duncan Shay before Lance Maharry notched his victory to help the Riders advance. Doubles was not needed as play is stopped once a team scores their fifth win.

Roosevelt will face Dowling on Saturday, May 20 at Norwalk at 9:00 AM in Substate Action. The winner advances to the first round of the State Tournament which will be played at 1:00 PM at Norwalk against the winner of the Valley/Johnston match.
