MOOREFIELD, W.Va. — Hannah Clunk fired a four-hitter and Hanna Patterson hit a three-run home run to power Oak Glen past Frankfort, 5-1, in the Bub Riggleman Tournament Saturday morning.

Clunk allowed only a sixth-inning run, walked two and struck out 11 in a complete-game victory. Patterson’s homer, in a three-run seventh, moved a 2-1 lead to 5-1.

Patterson homered and singled, Eileen Flowers singled twice and Clunk doubled for Oak Glen.

Katie Beeman had a double and knocked in Frankfort’s run in the sixth inning. Jessica Gollehon singled twice for the Falcons (10-14), who host Moorefield for a 4:30 p.m. twinbill on Monday.

MOOREFIELD, W.Va. — Bethany Smith had two hits, scored two runs and drove in two runs to lead Moorefield past Musselman.

Smith smacked a pair of doubles, Emma Baker doubled, singled and scored twice and Hanna Carlson doubled, singled and knocked in two runs for the Lady Jackets (18-6). Paige Crites also doubled and singled, and Rebekah Markwood doubled.

Carlson got the win with three hitless relief innings. She walked none and struck out two.

Tierra Locke had a double and two RBIs for Musselman.

MOOREFIELD, W.Va. — Sydney Lipscomb led off the bottom of the seventh with a double and scored the winning run later in the inning on a wild pitch to send South Harrison past Frankfort in the Bub Riggleman Tournament.

Lipscomb’s double was her third hit of the game. Courtney Swenskie had two singles and scored twice and Katie Devericks singled twice and drove in two runs for South Harrison.

Abria Lantz went 3 for 4 and hit a three-run home run for Frankfort. Kylee McGuire’s two-run homer in the sixth gave the Falcons a 6-5 lead.

Allison Kenney and Hayley Dorsey singled twice and Jessica Gollehon had a single and an RBI.

MOOREFIELD, W.Va. — Frankfort put up plenty of crooked numbers on the scoreboard and capped the night with eight runs in the seventh inning in a slugfest with Musselman.

Nine batters hit safely for Frankfort and eight hit safely for Musselman. The teams combined for 30 runs and 32 hits, and both sides had four errors.

The top hitter was Frankfort’s Allison Kenney, who had a triple and three singles in five at-bats, scored three runs and drove in three. Lauren White had three singles and three RBIs, Hayley Dorsey tripled, doubled and scored three runs, MyKenzie Wolford hit a double and two singles, and Katie Beeman had two singles and four RBIs.

Jessica Gollehon added three singles and three runs, Jenna Childs had two singles and scored four runs, Kylee McGuire had a single and three RBIs, and Abria Lantz had a single and two RBIs.

The Falcons scored five runs in the second inning and led 13-8 after a four-run sixth.

Tierra Locke, Mikky Davis and Deanna Stocks had two hits for Musselman, which had 11 singles.

Wolford got the win, allowing five hits and one run in 4 2/3 relief innings.

MOOREFIELD, W.Va. — Allison Kenney tossed a three-hit shutout and Katie Beeman homered to lead Frankfort past Martinsburg in Friday night’s late game.

Kenney allowed only three singles, walked one and struck out five in a complete-game win. She aided her cause by going 3 for 4 at the plate.

Beeman hit a two-run homer in the four-run seventh inning and also singled among 10 Frankfort hits. MyKenzie Wolford doubled, singled and had two RBIs, while Lauren White singled twice and knocked in a run.

MOOREFIELD, W.Va. — Bethany Smith tossed a four-inning one-hitter and had two hits and four RBIs, including a game-ending three-run home run in the fourth inning, leading Moorefield over South Harrison in the Bub Riggleman Tournament.

The Yellow Jackets scored five runs in the first inning and led 6-0 after two, then ended it with a five-run fourth, highlighted the home run by Smith, who had hit an RBI double in the five-run first.

Rebekah Markwood singled twice and scored twice, Sumer Flinn had a single and an RBI and Emma Baker doubled for the Jackets.

Smith allowed one single, walked none and struck out six.

Courtney Swenskie had the only hit for South Harrison.

MOOREFIELD, W.Va. — Musselman rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat Moorefield.

The first four batters of the inning reached base and Musselman scored three runs before Moorefield got an out. Kaylyn Cochran began by reaching on an infield error and winning pitcher Brianne Stocks doubled. Tierra Locke’s two-run double tie it 5-5, and Makayla Ambrose won it with a walkoff single that scored Locke.

Moorefield had trailed 3-1 before scoring four runs in the fifth with Rebekah Markwood and Bethany Smith getting RBI singles. Emma Baker’s RBI single in the sixth put the Jackets up 5-3.

Ambrose finished 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs and Locke was 2 for 3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored.
