GREENBACK — Kayne Roberts led Greenback’s potent offense Thursday night with three home runs as the Cherokees defeated Sequoyah 12-6 to earn the season sweep of the Chiefs.

“It’s the second time this year that (Roberts) has done that,” Greenback coach Greg Ryan told The Daily Times. “He hit three home runs in a game in Sevier County against McMinn County. He’s a special athlete on the football field and on the baseball field as well. He’s been hitting .667 and threw a no-hitter this week so he’s doing fantastic.”
