Peyton Holt doesn’t swing the bat like one of the league’s big boppers It only seems that way.


Holt drove in three runs Thursday to power streaking Greenwood to a 7-1 win over Shiloh Christian. Holt is hitting .556 this month. He’s knocked in 12 runs in the team’s last five games.

Holt had three RBIs and Cooper Van Kooten won his fifth game of the season for the Bulldogs (16-6).

Colton Sagely tripled to start the game and scored on Holt’s RBI grounder. Holt later singled home a run and double in another. Sagely, Van Kooten and Ronnie Berg also had RBIs.

Van Kooten struck out seven while going the distance.
